I am afraid that Titanya will eat her own head if she does not get to play World of Warcraft. However my computer is old/ cheap and needs to be upgraded, but I am very computer stupid. I would like to display my specs and if someone could tell me what I need to change to get good performance would be great. I understand that ebay will probably be the best place that I can get good prices, but I do not know what is going to be best for this game and also what my computer is compatible with.

Minimum Requirements (for the game):
800MHz P3 or Athlon
256MB RAM
32MB T&L 3D card (GeForce 2 or better)
4GB hard drive space
DirectX 9.0

Recomended Requirements (which I want to get as close to as possible):
2.0GHz P4 or equivalent
512MB RAM
64MB DirectX 9.0-compliant 3D card

I right-clicked My Comptuer and here is what comes up:

eMachine W2260
AMD Athlon XP 2200+
1.79 GHz
224 MB of RAM

I know that I need to buy more RAM, and I intend to purchase 512 RAM. And I believe the graphics card is the next biggest thing I need to upgrade-
I have:
3D S3 ProSavage8
available AGP slot

So aside from RAM and a new graphics card would my computer be able to play it? Or else would it just be cheaper to buy a new computer? Also, is any RAM and graphics card going to be compatible and especially what specifically do you recommend I buy? I know this is a stupid, cheap computer but if I can fix it up a bit it I would love some help. Thanks in advance :)

You should pm TGS.

IMO, you really need at least a 800 MHz FSB for a decent gaming machine...

what do I have and how can I make it better?

your graphics card is fine, it supports directx 9.0. the only thing you can really do is double the RAM...

I thought
32MB T&L 3D card (GeForce 2 or better) > 3D S3 ProSavage8

Buy a new computer Pee boy! :D

:flipoff: shutup.

I'm trying to read whatever thread this is someone posted in your whore thread about the kid trying to do his teacher. I'm up to a point where they emailed his school

Haha, that was hilarious. But it's not so funny past that point.

I am doing my research and I am definitly leaning towards the geforce 6600gt. Is this a good choice? Considering the price I think it sounds great, but then again I don't know anything about antilaising, peak fill rates, etc. Still, big numbers and low price is good right?

crono tell the kid to pee on her n make it a surprise right in the middle of class, walk up to her n let it go....

I would buy a new computer but you can buy just a better video card to play the porn game. That is why I don´t like playing games at computers, you always need to be updating.

Personally, I think the big box stores are fine consideringthe speed and cost of tech these days. Whatever you buy will be less usefull in 4-8 years depending on how good you buy. Unless you are programming or do multiple things on the PC at once, (ie online gaming while surfing the net, while downloading porn vids, while working on a spreadsheet) you dont need a monster. I bought an HP Pavilion f1703. Fucking racehorce that cost me 999.00 at Best buy with 300.00 rebates. It is a gaming and internet using machine. 699 total isnt bad. And if its money thats the problem, Best Buy has a CC. I didnt need to do that, but it is available. Iam sure that they are trying to get rid of last years (didnt sell at X-mas) stuff. Check it out.

thanks MTN. I will definitly look into that tomorrow. What do you mean a CC? A gaming and internet machine is exactly what i'm looking for

I still can't install Far Cry in my pc. There were not many problems with Doom 3 and half life 2 with low resolutions.
