Do you think slurpees would work well for a fast burning post-training carb source?
Homer: Hey! I saved your life! That egg sandwich could have killed you by cholesterol.
Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human
blood stream.![]()

ditto...I can't see there being very much if any straight glucose/dextrose in those drinks. you would be much better off using Gatorade

Slurpees were the best...
Could u clarify that a little more please? R u saying glucose and dextrose have a higher GI than high fructose corn syrup? (i assume thats what he meant with that anagram)Originally Posted by LAM
way higher. dextrose = glucose which basically has the highest GI of a sugar. HFCS is a combination of about 42% or 55% fructose 42-55% dextrose and and a few percent carbohydrate polymers (maybe maltodextrins).Originally Posted by njc
