    is ice cold too cold?

i forgot my chilled water bottle for my PWO shake today, so i had it when i got in, thing is i took the bottle out the fridge and put it straight into my shake and drank, and it was ICE cold, i mean so cold it actually made me feel unwell... is this a bad thing? could the fact that it was so cold, reduce absorption of the shake at all?

    thanks in advance

Really cold water can 'shock' your stomach and cause the muscle to 'spasm' (like your legs when you jump into really cold water) and this will stop motility for a little while....

But generally - it is not a problem.
