I have just been promoted as Staff Sgt in the U.S Rangers, Inf Corp. That would explain my disappearance from Iron-Magazine.

^ congratulations.

I haven't been able to workout. I had to have 2 major surgery operations performed on my lumber region --from doing Stiff-Leg deads with 500 lbs.
Now I feel fitter then ever, and confident that I'll take the Pro Nationals later this year.

Here's the Insignia that goes with my Rank( http://z.about.com/d/usmilitary/1/0/y/_/are6.gi).

Hopefully, if I can finish my managerial role, I'll be sectioned to E-8 and become a SFC.

Congratulations.

McDonalds gives out ranks now?

way to go Sgt. - from a 82 to a ranger

What division are you with now that you are a ranger?

What rank were you @ grade 4 before you became an NCO?

When did you get promoted from grade 4 to grade 5?
When did you get promoted from SGT to SSG?

What unit were you attached to during Ranger School?

can you cover the ranking system for me?

I was talking to my recruiter (marine) on the 20th and kinda zoned out during the ranking speech. Good thing is I qualified for that military fund thing (the additional 50k towards college) bringing it upto roughly 86k, and my recruiter is trying to push me towards the recon infantry section, which offers another 8k in bonuses if I can complete the training (8 weeks, 65% drop out rate).

Thank god for the ASVAB, its the first school issued thing to ever actually help me out. (93%)

What was your GT score from the asvab?

And "GO RECON!"
(Although, I would choose Army Rangers instead, because you
can move up to more elite SPECOPS from there)
Recon is the top echelon of Marine forces
(and rangers are proven badder by statistic)

The answer I was looking for was more along the lines of how you get there. What takes OCS, and which ones do youg et through time? I didnt have my paper w/ me but he said since I scored a 93 I easily got around 130 or so on the GT. I think it's in my car I'll go check ina bit.

Monkey you were a ranger?

I found the paper, where do I find or determine my GT score?

I got promoted to Operations Specialist first class in the Coast Guard the 1st of june. It's the same paygrade as Staff Sergent E-6, any how congrats man. How long you been in? I'm about to hit 5yrs next month.

I jsut googled it and it looks like verbal plus math. Thats a 131 total

That doesn't seem right, but 110 used to be the magic score
that qualified you for any MOS the army could offer

What no response to my questions from Lee Delroy -

if you've done good in high school, you should look into an ROTC program and get your college paid for and be an officer when your done. I wish I would have done that. Oh yeah, go to the air force.

Spoken like a true wuss..

The Air force is like summer camp
It shouldn't even be considered Military Service -

(Unless you are a "PJ")

I havent done well in school, I would never do ROTC, and I'm not loooking for a career in the military. Plus they practically are covering my college, GI bill plus the military college fund comes to 86k

lame post something in your gallery, hopefully i will get into the army and i need someone to look up to...

is that something that i want to go for on the asvab? does that include coding speed?

The Monkey Man ;; --> ? did you start out smaller and then as you progressed in the military turn out bigger? or started off about the same? and how long have you been there?

What? The ASVAB is done the same way some Standardized testing is done, ie my 97 overall means I scored higher than 97 percent of all the test takers in that category. You don't really go for scores. However your verbal and math combined give you your GT score, thats why I said mine was 131. Depending on your GT score different jobs open up for you. I hafta decide soon whether or not to sign up for recon, I'm weighing the pros and cons and I'm torn.

Pros: If I'm gonna join Im gonna do it right, and the security clearance and training will help me post military

Cons: Still only have to/would only stay in for minimum 4 years, so it seems like a shitload of work for an in and out thing

Any thoughts former or current military IM members?

damnnnn not shitting? thinking about recon!! ha, hell i would be lucky if i even get a chance to say recon in my military career. I'm not really straight when i say, that i can really just blow chunks when it comes to athletics and stuff...but i'm getting the drift. the reason i asked was just because i need some people to look up to ... kinda retarded because i don't have any "real" family and getting to know people blows, esp. in the military. so hopefully i can find some people here that are really cool and don't take it out on me when i say something stupid. like fuck i hate the service (although i signed up for 4 - 6 years ...) haha.

and btw your myspace link needs to have the "www." in front address part; btw :)
