    Muscle Repair

I have heard different things now and I am confused. Some people say do total body workouts because your muscles are done repairing after 48 hours or work different muscle groups each week. For example wait a week to do legs again.

different muscles take different times to heal. (e.g. forearms, calves and abs take about 24 hours, while lower back muscles can take 7-9 days) As a general rule dont work the muscle group out if it still hurts

I disagree with the whole idea of not training through soreness. I do it all the time, sometimes my clients do it, and scientific evidence supports the fact that you can still recover just fine while doing this.

The the original post, both methods are applicable. You have to balance frequency, volume, and intensity properly though.

I'm not sure the whole 48 hours to recover thing (from Men's Fitness) is accurate. I mean, if you do a hardcore work out you'll be a hell of a lot more sore than for just 2 days. Which means if you still sore on day 3, your not growing....doesnt make sense to me.
    Good Day
