I was selling back a book to the book store this morning and the computer rang it up as $75.50 buyback price. The guy at the counter started giving me money back, got to $25, then gave me a $100 bill ontop of it (this is $50 too much... I assume he thought the $100 was a $50 bill). I immediately caught it and said "this is too much," while sliding the $100 back to him. The guy was shocked and gratefully said "thank you!"
I called my girlfriend to tell her about it because we have this thing where we share our "good deeds of the day" and she kind of bitched me out asking me "why would you do something like that?!" And I know my parents would have said the same thing... "if it's their mistake, it's okay."
What do you guys feel about this type of situation?
Also, not that it's that relevant, but I am also broke right now and my girlfriend knows this. (I'm broke because of spending too much on her by the way)
