less calories but hard workout?

hey i was wondering if i lifted hard and exhausted my muscles but i wouldn't eat alot of calories. also i would at least run mayb half an hour. but would this cardio-muscle killing workout without eating alot of calories shrink/make me lose my muscles?
 
I don't understand what any of those senteces mean.
 
like if i worked out really hard but didnt eat alot of calories would i lose muscle?

just how many calories do you consider to be "not alot" and what are your stats/goals?
