I know both low reps and high reps have their benefits but which do you prefer? Maybe my conditioning is terrible, but today I did 2 sets of squats at 9 reps, managed them ok, a bit breathless after but nothing serious. I then went on to do 2 sets of Deadlifts at 9 reps at around 75% of my 1 rep max. When I had finished my second set I was done in! Took me around a minute to get my breathe back, tried some lunges afterwards but my legs were shakey so had to drop the weight quite a lot!
I much prefer low reps and I know i should probably work on my conditioning so I can handle high reps a lot better but hey ho
