IML Gear Cream!
I was just wondering about this.

The majority of us have been here a pretty long time. I know the majority of the people who still post have been here a lot longer than I have, and I'm going on my third year soon.

My question is: Judging only from your posts, avatar, and username, do you think that someone could track you down and/or figure out who you are down to a T?

For instance, the intellectually-inclined of you have figured out that I go by Andy, a few months ago I remember posting what high school I attended, and incase there were multiple HS's of that name, you amateur detectives could probably garner from my avatar that I live in the DC-Metro area. I'm sure other posts give clues into my life as well, like the gym I attend, etc.

So, my point being, I feel like if someone really wanted to, they could probably track me down solely through my posts on IM over the past 2.5 years. Do you feel like you're in the same boat, or no?

Im almost 100% sure from the information i post up on the internet somebody could track me down almost to the house i live in if they wanted to.

Its kinda worrying, but why would anybody WANT to track me down? From a sociological standpoint im average. I have an average income, an average house in an average town, average hobbies, average possessions.

Im an average person! It would serve no purpose for somebody to track me down.

Though if anybody wants to come visit go for it.

Haha, I know what you mean, I'm jsut asking whether you think it would be possible to.

And what I mean by that is, I just mapquested your house and am omw.

I have learned the habits of a few here, take IainDaniel vbmenu_register("postmenu_1706336", true); ( whose name I still have to copy cause I always screw up his spellling)
I know what time he gets up, showers and goes to bed.

I stalk him from time to time, I go into his house while he's sleeping and just stare at him while he's sleeping.
When I get bored I go to his kitchen and eat his food and drink his beer.

Since I like the guy I erase all the gay porn he downloads, wouldn't want the wifey to see that, no siree.

I never thought about it that way, but you're right. You're fucking boring.

From now on, we stop being friends.

;)

p.s. 15yo danny c is taking this thread very personally.

Honestly I think if you give out too much info all someone has to do is Google most of your info.

Every now and then I look into the "whose online link" and I notice a lot of people looking into Kefe's profile.

No lie, there was this one guy who kept on saying how nice of a body Kefe has and I noticed him constantly looking at his profile and gallery.
I'm not sure if it was Kefe under another name or a stalker pedo.

I hate Myspace, what a waste.

I have 4 kids who get on it.........

:roflmao:x2

I am actually kinda boring in most ways, but hopefully interesting enough to not die alone :thumb:

A few years ago I had a guy on here ask if I attending a local gym and that made me a little weirded out since I did....but he obviously meant no harm since I have had no conflicts....The way I see it is if someone is out there to fuck with people you might be a target. With that being said you just have to make sure you are aware of your surroundings....some crazy M F'er that lives across the street could be on a hunt for you.

Just live smart and don't worry.......You think you have it bad imagine if you were a famous person....that would be SUPER shitty.

I've posted my full name before .

I have a funny, kind of crazy stalker, ex-girlfriend story that is relevant if any of you want to hear it. I recently found out that an ex-girlfriend of mine had joined this site after seeing me on it a lot. She then subscribed to have emails sent to her whenever I started a new thread. I found out after she kept saying she knew "for a fact" that me and my last girlfriend were making sex videos. I asked how and she finally came clean, saying she read my thread on sex videos in the sexual health forum...................... She is probably reading this post right now. Stalking psycho. Anyway, I am kind of disturbed that someone can subscribe to your threads and posts, but I guess that is not unusual of forums in general.

The online world in general can be pretty dangerous. In business publications, as far as two years back, there was talk about how potential employers were accessing facebook to screen applicants. The thing that really sucks about that is that most of the pictures posted online of us college students are stupid partying pictures (since what else do college kids take pictures of?).

It really depends on the person and how much information they chose to give out among the years. I've heard stories of people getting fired due to what they wrote on a forum.

So you caught me jerking off last night?

Should have knocked I would have finished up, and we could have had a beer.

Yeah, I think we finally got Gazhole to stop doing that.

I've posted a google maps picture of my house all anyone would have to do is fly over Oahu until they saw it from the sky....

I'm not worried so much about someone coming to my house.....I'm pretty average too,but I got a hella Relatives living in my house, people in the front room sleeping,in the living room ,plus we got so much construction equipment lying around outside, youd probably hurt yourself sneaking around in the dark.Youd have to becareful you dont trip and fall on a coconut husker...

Weird story.

I've been frequenting a Red Sox board for about a year or two longer than I've been here, and I've gotten to know 4-5 of the guys real well. One day, I started a random thread to see if I was right about who I was talking to..

Based solely on their posts (this is a Red Sox board, I have never seen pictures of them) I had about a 90% success rate when I guessed what they look like.

Hair color, eye color, height, weight, etc...

Hardly the point of the thread, but if you really get to know somebody on here, I feel like its easy to figure things out about them without actually knowing or seeing who they are.

As far as people being able to know who I am.. put it this way.. if I black out from drinking again and act like a buffoon towards ReproMan, he could find me and kill me based off the information I've posted.

I heart you, Repro. :p:)

I remeber when Repro was going to "hunt me down." :roflmao:

I am the same person on IM as I am in real life, except IM members might know more about me than people I see and talk to everyday. My only concern would be the hassle of dealing with investigators if someone was to tip them off about me smoking weed and doing steroids. But since I no longer do either, it isn't really a problem.

Kelju is a cat/librarian in real life

Oddly enough I was sort of stalked by this really weird ugly fat chick awhile back. I wish a really hot girl would stalk me.
