If what your doing is working for you then dont change it. If its not then yes change it. Not knowing your split i cant help you there. If you looking for a workout program there's a sticky in this forum on power/rep range/shock, I'd suggest reading.

AStan, you're old enough to train the same as anyone here. How about you start up a gym log and post how you're training now - might give us some ideas on what to suggest.
Wondering where to start? Confused? This will get you started.

First thing you need to figure out is where you are (so thats stats, height, weight, age, experience, current training program...the whole thing) and the next thing you need to figure out is where you want to be, which means what are you goals. After you answer that then we can help guide you, you can start educating yourself and working towards your goals.

16 years old is pretty young. You'll experience gains pretty much no matter what you do, as long as you eat enough and get enough rest.
I would look into some type of full body workout. Learn the major lifts and keep working at them. It's hard to give more specific advice until we know goals, current stats, etc. |

Height..... 5' 10"
weight.... 140 Age ....16 Monday.. triceps Tuesday...Chest and Calves Wednesday.... Biceps and Back Thursday....Legs Fridays... Shoulders Sometimes i switch doing calves with triceps but thats mainly all i siwtch. on all exercizes i do 4 sets keeping the reps anywhere from 8 to 10 while increasing the weight a tiny bit with each set. each body part i work i do 4 exercizes and i mostly use free weights but sometimes machines. i have been working out for a little over a year and have gained about 20 pounds since then (i have also grown in hieght so its not all muscle gain). i am an ectomorph so i have a hard time keeping my gains if i go on vacation or get sick. i try to eat 280 grams of protein each day (double my weight) and usually do. i take vitamins and eat realtivley healthy i dnt really get alot of rest with school but its almost summer so i will start getting more rest. my goal is to stay toned and gain alot more muscle probly like 10 pounds before summer ends |
