Noob needs some advice!
Ok basically, I have been working out for around 3 months now and I have seen significant increase in my muscle mass, I have come here to ask a few questions though;
1. Is it true that Situps are bad for your tailbone? - If so can you give me any advice on other techniques to build up a 6 pac and also the general muscle in my stomach. 2. What is the quickest way to burn fat of your stomach? At the minute I have the 6 pac visible but due to me having a little to much % of body fat It is not fully visible like I want it to be - Any tips is appreciated. 3. General diets - What is good to eat on a regular basis and what is bad for me. I know Poly/Mono fats are good and Sat fats in moderation but I'm sure there is much more to it than that. The most important question is the situps / other ways to build a 6 pac (If possible could you also show me pictures as I probably will not know how to workout using each of the techniques that will hopefully be explained to me). Thanks in advance and I also look forward to becoming a member of this community and beginning to broaden the way I work out. Logic^. |

Hello there!
Nice work on getting into the lifestyle. ![]() 1. not sure about the tailbone - I'm not sure what kind you're doing. My guess would be that if they hurt YOUR tailbone, you'll feel 'em. That being said, you don't really need to do them to get a six. Nothing wrong with a little dedicated core work though, particularly when you're starting out. 2. Diet. You can't spot reduce I'm afraid - you will simply need to eat less food. 3. Read the link in my sig on getting started. ![]()
Wondering where to start? Confused? This will get you started.

My other question about what to do to build the muscle in my stomach though, at the minute like I said I'm a slim guy, always have been, but I want to burn more fat off my stomach so that my 6pac shows more. I'm a slim build but just want to become slimmer on my body without loosing to much weight and becoming skinny. What else can I do to work my chest? Stomach Crunches? V-Crunches? Leg Crunches? I've heard of these three, but not sure how to do them, any advice please? ![]() |

Pullups Hanging Leg Raises If your gym has a crunch station where you can add weights do that and build your abs like you treat calves - heavy, frequent, but not too much volume I find bicycles really rock my abs too

Well if you're trying to burn fat, aka run a deficit amount of calories than your body needs, where are you going to get extra nutrition from to build your abs?
Nowhere. Thats what a deficit is. So don't worry about trying to kill your abs or build them up now. You're going to be losing muscle in order to lose fat. Thats just the way it is especially if you've already been working out and your body is accustom to action. Just do the basics, moderately. If youre trying to lose fat. When you go on a bulk then you can work them a bit harder and try to build them more, when youre putting on some extra calories. |
