Near as I can tell, some folks are very flexible and are able to lower the bar to the floor while remaining tight through the core. If this is you, go for it. For me, I lower until my back wants to go round, but doesn't - about mid-shin - while pushing the barbell into my legs.

I stick with GHRs for hams for the most part. RDLs just don't feel right a lot of the time, but maybe I just hesitate with them now since I hurt my hamstring badly doing them.

What exercises emphasise more stress on your hams than your glutes?? My glutes seem to do all the work on deadlifts and such

Very strict lying leg curls[ i prefer training one leg at a time] or
if you have access to a standing leg curl machine this would also suffice.
The video that Built provided, if youre referring to those types of movements, was excellent btw. Nice slow and controlled and a good stretch at the bottom.

I use the box squats I get a sting in the heels so not sure if Im doing it right will try some of the excercises listed above for a better result.

Love the hamstring curl with the dumbell, I can do this in my home gym...too bad I read this just after doing my legs.
