Training for Striking
hi guys
ive started doing JJ and im looking to increase my striking power and speed to do any of you guys work in the gym to improve your striking and how do you do it ? ive started putting in core work aswell for the likes of throws and so on any tips on how to make my core more explosive would be great aswell. Plyometrics and olympic lifts can help with your speed, but you have to set up your training program properly to benefit from them. Are you competing in some sort of event? If so, how far out are you from that event or from your season?
Plyos and olympic lifts are good for developing power and speed strength, but there is still a force component involved in speed strength - you have to be strong to be explosive. |
