People never cease to amaze me

Don't know how it slipped my mind to post this yesterday. Anyways, I went to my gym and sat down on a bench to get myself ready for the ass whooping my muscles where going to receive and out of the corner of my eye comes in a guy. He lays his bag next to his feet which made me look down and I saw that he had flip flops.....The guy wore flip flops to a gym......! ROFLMAO He started working out and he did some standing calf raises, light squats, and some other shit all while wearing flip flops... Wtf is wrong with people?

I took a picture of this jerk commiting the same crime, I promptly went to the desk and complained about this amatuer.

They kicked him out of the gym forever, hopefully that would be the end of his training.

I agree, shoes at the gym are a must; otherwise, hygiene and safety issues are implicated.

Hygiene is not even an issue anymore at that point. I mean when someone decides to wear white flip flops to a gym and proceeds to "work out" in them then hilarity ensues. Barefoot is not near hilarious as flip flops. Maybe he should try high heels next time. FLIP FLOPS! ROFL Let me take my fanny pack as well too, maybe put on a real tight Hollister shirt and complete the overall douche look

I train in barefoot. This is acceptable.

Flip flops, bin bags, tight jeans, shirts, and full muslim garb have all been seen at the gym i work in and all of them are goddamn ridiculous for training purposes.

OK, I'll start by saying I'm a douche who's worn his sandals to the gym a couple of times.

The reason for this was because I train after work and change into my WO clothes at the office. I forget my freaking sneakers all the time but have a pair of sandals in my car for outdoor wear. My choices are go all the way home (20+ miles), wear my dress shoes, or wear the sandals and feel like a schmuck.

BTW, this was never on leg day.

I see people walk around barefoot in the locker room, and on the way out of the gym, and I just want to tell them how effin stupid they are for doing so.

Or get some socks? You don't think foot/ankle stability is involved in upper body exercises?

It doesn't bother me at all. I don't see it as a hygiene issue or a safety issue.

People don't mind it when sweaty big smelly guys are working out shirtless, but they care what kind of shoes they are wearing.

Kinda gay isnt it

What the hell gym do you work out in? Every gym I've set foot in requires gym shirt and shoes (pants are optional, apparently).
