i can't get a workout on my abs...

yeah... like the title says... i cant freakin get a workout on my abs... i tried weighted declined sit up's, did 10 of them then stopped cuz i know it'll mess my back up then i went on the crunch machine put it up to 150 pounds.... did 5 sets of 10... not tired at all... did some leg raises.... 5 sets of 10.. not tired at all.. not soar at all... are abs like specially hard to train? do you have to go all out with a butt load of reps or something? i'm mad because i've even put the crunch machine up to 190 pounds which is the max and my back got tired before my stomach...

    any advice?
    any killer ab workout's?

Just work on those deads and squats after you get those knees fixed.

deads, squats, chins, pullovers...they are all killer ab workouts.

    Can't do chins or pullovers?

Why you taking that stuff? Did you read it in a magazine?
Take the creatine and protein the rest are a waste of money IMO.

I also cant get an ab workout due to injury. I have had tears and hernias in my abdominals. I have a 23" waist and I need to pack on muscle everywhere but cant find something to do to build without risking further injury. Pullups and pushups are a definite no no for me.

Getting a 6 pack is pretty much 100% about diet. Sure you can build the muscles up, but until the fat is gone you still cant see all that work.

Training your core/abs is important, but important from a stability perspective.

Think about what you are saying. You ask for advice, you get it, then either you make up excuses why you can't do what you are advised or do the opposite and say it's working for you.

I'm with Jugg, fuck it all and do what you want. Your going to do it anyway then wonder why you'll end up looking like a freak with arms bigger than your legs.

You just recently started weight training.
    You have a shit diet.
    But you expect abs?

Lift hard(heavy compound movements), and eat properly then come back in a year.

Not only did you provide the answers to all of your questions, but showed how naive you really are to training and dieting. Pick up a copy of Patrick's book, read some of Gaz's periodization work, read Built's sig on how to get started-because you're all over the place, drop the fucking supplements since you're an obvious victim of bullshit hype with a hole to burn in your pocket, stop reading the ragazines, and just throw everything you know out the window because it's a strong diet of bullshit.

As i recall you have asked equally basic questions in the last few weeks, even one about getting six pack abs.

Creatine and protein are also pretty solid as far as supplements go - why the hate?

As i recall you have asked equally basic questions in the last few weeks, even one about getting six pack abs.

Creatine and protein are also pretty solid as far as supplements go - why the hate?
THANK YOU... i've done plenty of research on creatine and protein and have got a bunch of good reviews on it... the beta alamine and glutamine is just a trial thing i spent like 10-15 bucks on both of them to see if there worth the money.. i'm hardly even taking them since there pills though i'm just taking protein and creatine... anyone disagree with taking them?

I know people who have gotten good results from beta alanine but when i tried it myself i didn't give it a chance because it made me feel sick. The tingling didn't bother me, and it goes away pretty fast, but i felt fatigued and nauseous after taking it every time. Sold it to a friend.
