    How's this home setup?

I'm looking at these for weight training & I run an average of 12 miles/wk.

I haven't bought these yet, just looking for some input cause I might buy these tomorrow.

Given the nature of this forum, your goals are likely bodybuilding or general wellness related. That said, at least a variation of the squat, deadlift, and bench press are central to almost any routine.

The bench that you have there looks perfectly fine, but i'd recommend switching out that Bowflex/Total Gym looking thing for a power rack and an Olympic barbell.

it actually looks like he would be able to do squats on the backside of that bench he has there. that looks like a real nice bench, but what everyone else said, I wouldn't waste money on the bowflex. If anything, get yourself a chinup/dip station, a piece of cardio equipment like a treadmill or elliptical, and lots of weights.

With an olympic barbell, the dumbells shown in the picture, that bench, and a chinup/dip station, you could probably perform the following exercises:
    all bench press variations
    barbell rows
    chinups/pullups
    dips
    barbell curls
    standing or seated overhead press
    squats
    deadlifts
    stiff leg deadlifts
any dumbbell exercise like benches, rows, curls shoulder press, laterals
    lunges

I could go on and on, bottom line is that you could accomplish quite a bit with only that.

    Oh, look at that.

If you plan on training in the room pictured, perhaps you may want to look into getting something along the lines of rubberized flooring so you don't have to worry about damaging the tile while deadlifting or if you drop a weight.

No, this pic is where I bought it from. Yes, he had the rear of the bench modified so that squats could be done. It's actually really nice equipment, I ended up buying it all & came with 900lbs of bar weights.
