Good edition to my home gym or waste of money?

Found this exact one on Craigslist for 600$. I don't currently have any pulley machines in my home gym. Always wanted one of these but just didn't want to spend the money. Does Body Solid make good equipment. I hate junky gym equipment? Just wondering what you guys thought. Thanks.

I think it's a waste of money personally. There is so much you can do with just good old weights and there are only a few things you can do with that. Not to mention it's huge and expensive. If you really feel you need to have a cable setup why not go with that Tower 200 thing that hooks up to your door for a fraction of the price. At least this way you're only wasting $200 and it will be a lot easier to get rid of.

What does your home gym currently consist of?

I'd want a power rack, a bench, an Oly set, and solid dumbbells on a rack. You must have a big space to accommodate that piece of equipment.

If money is not option then go for it, but I'd be buying other stuff before that. A chin/dip station, incline bench, roman chair, a refrigerator filled with Carbo Force fruit punch! lol

Actual price is $2,175.00 and he's only sel;ling it for $600.00.
That's pretty cheap but I've seen plenty of those machines break down do make sure it's in good condition before buying it.
It looks a lot like the one they have at Ballys and it was sturdy.

I posted pics on here but I can't find them. I will post again when I get a chance. I have squat cage, bench, olympic everytyhing, hex dumbbells 5 - 100lbs, pull up bars, boxing equipment, wrestling mats, elliptical. I have a decent size basement. I would have to move some stuff around to get this in there though. I think I'm going to hold off until a better one comes a long. I looked at it more closely and it doesn't look commercial grade to me. Although pictures can be deceiving.

Reverse hyper bench or a glute-ham raise station maybe? Those are worth their weight in gold.

Its my number 1 hobby. My wife hates that I'm always buying new equipment for it. She thinks its fine the way it is. Which it is. I just like getting new fitness equipment. She got her 3000$ precor elliptical so she's happy.

If you posted it on IronMagazine then I can find it using your stats, I believe. Wait, do you have a bajillion posts*?

*Edit: SEVEN-THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE! Close enough to a bajillion.

    I'll wait for the re-post.

Your home gym sounds like you should be selling memberships!

I can't comment on the quality of either of those particular incarnations of the double cable stack. However, I feel like they are a good addition to one's home gym. You could probably find a cheaper version that is one solid piece of equipment with two rotating arms though. It's more space efficient too. Either way, there are plenty of great exercises that you could do with cables that are tough to do with barbells/dumbbells.

Yeah. I've been wanting one for a while. I have just been waiting for a commercial grade one to come up on Craigslist.
