So i can't remember where I read bout this but just popped up in my mind the other day and was wondering what you guys think. Taking as a deep breath as possible and holding it for 5-10 seconds repeatedly for about 3-5 minutes or so a day to expand your lungs. With expanded lung size your rib cage expands and therefore your chest gets bigger as well. Could be complete bolognia but it seemed like it made decent sense. What do you guys think any truth to it?
Couldn't say for sure. I do however believe pullovers would do the job. Not some lazy ass ones. Ones that require you to find a way to lock down your feet so you don't do a back flip.

Bob Paris advocated pullovers to expand the rib cage in his book "Beyond Built". As I recall it was an excellent book. Sure he was into the man love but boy did he have an awesome build.

Breathing squats followed by pullovers have been used for years for this (as well as colossal legs!).
Basically, take 1-3 very deep breaths in between each squat rep. This also makes it harder because the bar is on your back for longer.
^ this. Breathing squats have actually been around for a very long time. Many of the BB'ers of the Golden Age have commented on doing squats this very way. I do DC, but the rest-pause sets for squats are pretty much exactly the same as breathing squats. Great for the legs, and really gives your core a good w/o as well.

After a good set of breathing squats, im out of breath for about five minutes, its ridiculous. I love them. I think everybody in the 60's advocated them until they were blue in the face.

Don't worry, so long as you don't look like one you're good!
aha! Well if you wanna take it to the next level, do DC forced stretches after the already painful set. Go over to the leg extension machine, and sit on your foot to stretch the quad out, lean back, puch down. Do both legs....
