I use a weight that I can get up 8-9 times on the first set and about 6-7 on the second.
I do 2 sets of BB curls and 2 sets of Hammer curls.

10-10-8 for me, I think smaller muscles like bi's respond better to a little higher rep range.

In the revised addition of THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MODERN BODY BUILDING say something about arm muscle are, I can't remember the type of twich (muscle type, I think it was slow), but anyways they need higher reps to be stimulated to grow. 12 reps at the most for me, 8 at least.

Thumbs up

why not cover all your bases and do your sets like this.
2x6
2x10
2x20
---------------------------------------------
this way you make sure you hit all your muscle fibers.if you want to do more than one excercise alternate them from workout to workout
