I had to look this exercise up to see what it was first. Sure, I will see how long I can hold a plank position and post my time by Sunday.

I had never heard of the plank until this thread. I tried it a few minutes ago and could only hold it for 1 minute 7 seconds. I did roman chair sit ups this afternoon but I don't think that was factor. I will be doing this on a regular basis now!

It's a great exercise. 1min isn't bad for you first try. Go for sets of 2 mins.

I haven't done bodyweight planks in quite a while. I can hold a plank for about a minute or so with 135 pounds my back though. It's been a while since I've done that too, so it might be a little less right this moment.

My stepdaughter does it in her yoga routine. She says she can hold it about 2 minutes. I was shaking after 30 seconds.

Usually in the gym you hear guys asking how much you can bench or squat......never planks, haha.

"Dude! That was some badass stuff!"

"Oh..what? My deadlift? Ya, I'm pretty stoked to have made it to 3 plates a side...all this training.."

    *guy cuts him off

"NAH BRO! You held a plank for 3 minutes just now! NICE! Bragging rights to you buddy!"

    I'm such a smartass. It's great, isn't it!?!?! I think so
