    Adding weight to side planks

    I would like to do weighted side planks. How do you guys do it?

    not sure how safe or effective they are, but here are three different metods.

    I'd go with the third, looks safe...

    I wonder also if you couldn't rig up something w/ resistance bands instead of weights?

    run it through your belt loops and some how tie it to a bench or something.

    just remember to keep your postural muscles tight to avoid a back injury..weighted exercise plus combined twisting and flexing puts you at risk for injury..
