    Benefits of HIIT

How many of you do HIIT and, if so, what kind of benefits have you noticed from doing it? I'm thinking about working into something like the tabata protocol and just wanted some opinions.

My goals are mostly strength/athletics oriented, but I wouldn't mind some fat burning. It's always good to get rid of dead weight.

I do alot of HIIT cardio. Like sprint for instance 100yards then jog back for about 10 minutes. I can assure you it builds endurance, of course it burns calories, and not to mention makes you faster. I also do a HIIT cardio circuit (insanity beachbody) which consist of doing about 3 - 5 minutes of exercises around 30 seconds a piece then rest for 30 seconds. Doing workouts in this form also seem to build my endurance ,and have made my lower body strength boost a huge amount since it focuses more on legs. HIIT is only for some people tho. Try it for a week or two and see how you like it.
