    Hang clean

Just started doing those today. A mere 65 lbs to work on getting the form correct before adding weight. I like them. One of those things you never see in the gym any more.

Ya man, hang cleans kick ass.

Also love the press thrown in for good measure. That's an amazing combo.

Yeah i do them with a press too and have to stay light because they are so tough and take so much out of me.
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

I can press 154lbs x 5, and clean 176lbs x 5, but put them together and i can only do 143lbs x 5! Fucking excellent. So tough its not true. Has done wonders for my shoulder development, and improved the two lifts when done separately.

Are you pressing military or push press? I remember you suggesting a while back to try it with the military press instead of the push press.

The first few sets are military, but after a while i need to switch to push press, haha.

Try both. They're both a lot of fun, and i love the dynamic of switching from an explosive exercise to a slower one.

Hmm, I don't know. I can clean more than I military press, but that would be interesting.

I'm working on DB Military Press right now. It's a hell of a lot harder! I got up to 60 lbs a side for low reps last night finally :P. It's a work in progress.

What grip do you use when pressing? Shoulder-width? I trust you're a to-the-chest military presser?

Back in the newb days I did military press for a month or so and hated it because of how weak I was compared to the much easier shoulder press. Looking back it's amazing how far I've come from a year ago because I was bringing my upper arms down only to parallel! That's only aboout half way, lol. Now, I bring it to the chest if a BB and to the shoulders of DB. So much more challenging that way.
