    arm isolation

i do a sort of push/pull routine, does it matter that at the end of my push day i cant always do a tricep isolation exercise? my push day is:
    squat 3 sets
    weighted push ups 3 sets
    db fly's 3 sets
    military press 3 sets
and im supposed to do french press 3 sets but my arms are trashed by this point and i cant always do them does it matter?

Not necessarily, if your arms are trashed at that point, they're trashed! I would probably look into maybe backing off some weight, sets, or reps leading up to your tricep workout, so you can get them in. It all boils down to an equal balance.

If your triceps are smashed, surely they've been worked enough?

It's not like your body is gonna go "well he didn't do his french presses, so i'm not gonna make his triceps grow".

Your body doesn't know the difference. All it knows is that those muscles need to be repaired.

Ummm yeah, the emphasis is to forget about the isolation especially if you're starting out and indirectly train arms through compound lifts which should stimulate growth.

I personally think he should do tricep kickbacks and dumbbell curls inside the squat rack.

We (me and other staff) had a massive rant in the gym the other day because six - read it again - SIX fucking people were doing fucking kickbacks. Not surprisingly they all had about as much muscular development as McLovin.
