    Problem with my knee

within my training programe I squat and deadlift once a week (not in the same workout).
The problem is my right knee has become sore underneath the kneecap and my squatting has become quite uncomfortable to do but the deadlift is ok. Should I substitute the squat with the deadlift while my knee gets better?
This is a right pain in the a**e as I was progressing really well in the squat and getting a lot stronger. Any help?

You should go see a doctor. Don't play around with your knees, it's not worth it.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Listen to DOMS, go to the doctor. If you're not going to go to the doctor then substituting deads for squats, so that you're doing deads twice a week isn't a bad idea, but I wouldn't stick with it for too long. In other words if you sub the deads for a month, and the knee problems persist then get your ass to a doctor or at the very least take some time off.

If you see a doc and he suggest through a blood test that you have rheumatoid arthritis try backing carbs and specifically gluten out of your diet.
My knee blew up twice, have to have it drained, and at one point had developed joint pains in my elbows and back. I dropped the carbs and those issues went away so I'm suspecting gluten may have been a culprit.
