At least there not just sitting on the couch all day haha, but I know what you mean. I don't understand people who use like half there max or less on the bench press and do like 15-20 reps. what's the point? That wouldn't even be fun because theres no challenge.

I got mates who do that, they startd traning a year or 2 before me n now i shit on them in every aspect, lift way heavyer n hav a beter physique. Sum people just dont want it as bad and dont hav the heart to dig deep and progress to the next level. Also its easyer for people to say "yea i could b bigger if i wanted to or i could hav a 6 pack but i just dont care or try for it" its way easier for them to do that then to go throught the hard work n fail. These are the same people that never change ther routines do the easyest workouts and are to scared to squat n deadlift!

Because...like...grammar and spelling are like...not fun...

i train by myself and have made more gains over the last 2-3 years than i did my first 18 years training.....i don't have to worry about explaining how to properly do an exercise or how i like to be spotted.....most exercises don't require a spot anyway and i can add intensity techniques like down the rack, if it's db's superslow negative on last rep, DC stretches, etc......the only time i really like having someone do an exercise with me is using the leg press sled....it's a pain in the ass feeling like your whole workout is loading and unloading the plates lol

I agree. I've had friends and girls (when I was younger) get upset because I don't talk to them at the gym. I don't mind saying hello, but much more is getting in the way I came to do. I think when you've been doing it long enough, you rare need a spotter. I usually know when I can't do more. That being said, I do like to get a spotter on bench sometimes. It's just not pretty if you fail without one. I have done that once. It was a couple months after wrist surgery, I underestimated how weak had had become!

Yes and I want the MF's to get out of the way!!!!! Even worse my gym is full of a group of guys that spend 1/2 their time talking to each other. One today spent a full hour on the decline bench where his buddies would meet to talk between sets at the squat rack, bench and lat pulls. Four areas tied up by people there for social hour. If they want to stand around and have a circle jerk, they should get the hell away from the equipment.

Rudely cut in. That's what I do, and never once has anyone questioned me.

I am a dickhead snob at the gym. I look at almost everyone as pathetic failure piles in sadness bowls. This is not a good attitude, but I think other people can read it on my face, because everyone always seems to be overly polite to me.

I don't want to be that way, but Jesus Christ people just don't pay attention to what is going on around them. "Hey numbnuts, there is only one squat rack in this gym and you are doing an exercise that could be done in 10 different other areas!"

I have told people this before. Then another numbnut steps up to take their place the next day by doing something equally inconsiderate of "real lifters".. By far, the majority of gym goers are maggots. So, I guess that makes us the weird ones.

I am not a huge guy, but I'm am big enough. I don't care how much someone is lifting, as long as they are taking it seriously. There is a little dude at my gym that is ripped to shreds. He may only front squat 95lbs, but his form is perfect, and his determination is obvious. That dude can use the squat rack for as long as he needs to. He has my respect as a fellow lifter.

Now on the other hand, lets talk about Mullethawk. Mullethawk had a mullet, but he cut it into a mohawk. Now he has a haircut that is as retarded as he is. Mullethawk does chest press machine every day. He does like 5 sets of 10. I have never seen Mullethawk do any chest work other than chest presses. Mullethawk also does about 30 minutes of dumbbell curls performing each set 4 inches from the dumbbell rack preventing anyone from getting to the weights he is standing in front of. A few weeks ago I basically shoved him out of the way to get to some dumbbells in front of him. He gave me a dirty look like I'm the douchbag.

^^yeah there are jerks where ever u go especially the gym. but just go there for the entertainment one day, when your not lifting, just look at the fucking retards and how they train. sorta like idiot watching instead of people watching. i bet when you leacve the gym youll had a great time and feel alot better the next time. the little guy doing the strict form is the guys that are disceplined ( i give up on spelling ) and are going somewhere. the ones who bounce weight off there chest are the showboats. take your pick who to watch and learn from.

I always made a point to never train with anyone or even workout at a gym where my friends workout.

Only exception would be a trainer

^^i got a trainer but i hardly ever train with him. he just trains by himself. but once a wk he will come train with me but i cant use the weight he uses the only thing iam stronger on is triceps. so i train with a guy that i knew there awhile. never use to train with no one. we dont bullshit i made that clear from day 1. but my trainer has done justice for me. hes got me down to 245 and about 12bf 11 maybe from 14-15 and iam leaner. but now he wants me to bulk up to 265 for 3 months so its all good because i got a great diet he made out. but i did pay this guy and very well worth it. so ill be 265 at 11bf 36 waist for now 32 at 235 for contest at 4-5 bf. looking good so far hes right on.

I agree! I can grow way faster by propper form, and stretching, and negatives. I go heavy only on very few excercises.

Yes you're right, that does defeat the purpose. You need to progress every week or else you're not making gains.

Ok...I'm off work this week and next. Instead of going to the gym at 5:30 AM, I was able to go at 1:00 PM. I will never make that mistake again. The place was taken over by local high school pukes! Towels and crap everywhere, weights left on everything, 30 kids standing around next to equipment looking at each other and doing nothing! It was so annoying, I did cardio and left. I know they are young and have a lot to learn, but at least clean up after yourself! No wonder they barely one a football game last year, they can't even be disciplined in the gym.
