    Workout Question?

I was wondering what was better for lifting. Is it better to lift the body as a whole ( Monday - upper body , Wednesday - Lower Body , Friday - Upper Body , Sunday - Lower Body) or in muscle groups (example: Monday - arms , Wednesday - Chest , Friday - Back/Shoulders , Sunday - Legs)?

some prefer full bodies or upper/lower bodies...some splits...to be honest it all comes down to what works for you IMO

I was thinking of doing the upper/lower body method for 3 weeks and switch to working out the muscle groups for 3 weeks?

since i haven't done much of the upperbody/lower body method (started out with full body routines..then hopped on the split routines mixed with push/pull methods ect)

i dont see your idea being a bad thing..if anything it'll keep your body shocked for longer and it could also give you a variety of training concepts to be utilized

I always trained in muscle groups.

I cant see my self training the whole body in one day with one or two movements each.

I do upper pull, all lower body, upper push, rest. I personally hate legs so I get it all done with in one day. In my opinion lifting by muscle location (arms, chest, shoulders/back) is a horrible way to workout.

I prefer an upper workout that is chest heavy with a light back workout then shoulders, bi's heavy tri'
    legs, abs
    off
upper heavy back, light chest, shoulders, tri's, heavy bi's
    legs, abs
off, that way i get an upper body workout every 3rd and 5th day
