New workout before SS

    New workout before SS

    I designed an upper/lower split not long ago but havnt been able to start it due to wrist injury playing football/soccer...so when thats good to go i was thinking bout doing this 4 day upper/lower for couple months to gain the strength to start the starting strength program...
    welll the upper lower workout will be and feel free to critisize:

    Sun - Lower
    Squats 3 x 10/8/6
    Hack Squats 3 x 10/8/6
    Standing Calf Raise 2 x 12/10
    1 abs

    Mon - Upper
    Bench Press 3 x 10/8/6
    Press ups 3 x 10/8/6
    Pull ups 2 x 10/8
    Milatry Press 3 x 10/8/6

    Wed - Lower
    Deadlift 3 x 10/8/6
    Front Squat 3 x 10/8/6
    Sitting calf Raise 2 x 12/10
    1 Abs

    Fri - Upper
    Clean & Press 3 x 10/8/6
    Dips 3 x 10/8/6
    Close Grip Bench Press 3 x 10/8/6
    Bent over Rows 3 x 10/8/6
    Shrugs 2 x 10/8


    So ill do this for about 2 months then go onto Starting Strength..
    Im sure ill have plenty questions regarding SS but ill leave that till closer to i start...

    Why not just start with the... Starting Strength program.

    It's a perfect program for any beginner. There's no reason to do another program to prepare for it.

    dumbell rows 3 x 10/8/6 - I removed the militry press
    Press ups 3 x 10/8/6

    Leg Curls 3 x 10/8/6 - do a ham dominant ex. leg curls example
    Front Squat 3 x 10/8/6
    1 Abs

    Fri - Upper
    Clean & Press 3 x 10/8/6
    Dips 3 x 10/8/6
    Bench Press 3 x 10/8/6 - no need for close grip, do normal grip
    Bent over Rows 3 x 10/8/6
    Shrugs 2 x 10/8
