do you think it can help benifit strength training/bodybuilding or hinder gains?
are there any pros and cons of doing it along side a lifting program to reg guys like us ?

i know on yoga website they say how its good for strength and stuff but thats usually coming from someone who has not background in weights or lifting

I don't think it will hinder gains. The argument that may be brought is that yoga lengthen the muscles therefore the opposite of weigh training but when you think about it yoga is a series of muscle contractions even if isometric. Power yoga utilizes all forms of contractions as well. It does wonders for muscle soreness and ability to create dynamic flexibility and strength.
