New to it, could use some advice :D

Ok I'll get right down to it.
I'm out of shape, 240lbs, 6'4" and after being injured in combat, decided to not care as much and let things go. Sobb story I know so, now I'm in the need of actually getting off my ass and kicking it daily again. My problem is this.. I want to lose about 25 lbs and either at that point gain muscle or gain throughout the process. I have a gut and I'd say I'm probably about 30% on my BMI. (complete guess) Other factors are food availability...
I can eat as much chicken breast as I want, eggs (hard boiled or omlets with veggies) and steamed vegetables. All the water I can handle and a decent amount of time available to utilize the gym. I'm a newb when it comes to working out partly because I've gone through gym partners more than socks due to missions out here and re-locating so I've come to the conclusion I'll need to focus on this on my own.
I can't give you a calorie amount in the food because well... it's unk but I will say the chicken breasts are about as plain as they can get with just a little flavored juice they sit in before hitting the hot plate. Steamed veggies and fruits are plentiful.. even if they are never ripe :P and I do eat a shit ton of peaches, plums and bananas throughout the day... meaning about 1 every hour I'd say.
My goal is this - lose 20 lbs avg, trim down quickly and stay big up top. I don't care for the 6 pack yet, I just want the flab gone and skin to tighten up.. and yes I know this is like asking for a miracle but I'd like it to be basically gone in under 4 months if possible lol. I'm going home then for a break and well.. I have a woman I'd like to impress "if ya get me" Ok enough rambling. I appreciate all your help and more so in the following subjects matters:
Workout routine - if you have a moment please give details not just "arms"
How much of this great chicken should I eat daily - avg size boneless
I hate running but I'll do it :P
I'll post a picture of my current state if that would help anyone.. yes it would be a little embarrassing but.... I'm sure the payoff in the end would let me laugh at my fattyness now lol

Bottom line is to lose fat you're going to have to track macro-nutrients of what you eat.
Training isn't going to take off the fat so much but help preserve or gain muscle mass.
    Good luck!
