    Battling ropes and tire flipping

Has anyone used/constructed some battling ropes? Advice on where to find/buy them would be greatly appreciated.

Also, for those who flip tires, where did you get your tire from?

Google "commercial tire distributor". Call around locally and ask if they dispose of 18-wheeler (commercial) tires or if they can direct you to a place that does.

You can also call up the manufacturers and ask them to locate a local disposal center.

    A tire-related GPP idea:

You can get a free tire from basically any car/mechanic shop. For about $20, you can attach a hook and a chain and after loading up some weight on it (check out craigslist for free plates), it makes a heck of a sled.

I got my tire from a local tire manufacturing company. They are all over and always have piles of old tires.

Read Clint Darden's log on the EFS website. They just added him to their logs page and his log has a lot of good stuff related to strongman.
