The anti-broskie thread (yes, this is training related)

I stopped posting for a while because I was just getting sick of seeing the same crap time and time again.

Broskies. I'm sick of them. I hate them and everything they stand for. For those of you unfamiliar with bro-school, these are the guys in our gyms who train "bi's and tri's" on an almost daily basis; these are the guys who train upper body 90% of the time, then use leg extensions to "balance their training"; these are the guys who think a calculated diet is 350g protein from supplements and the occassional can of tuna; these are the guys who, despite countless efforts backed up by proven research, refuse to accept that arms can grow without curls and kickbacks; these are the guys treating advising others in the gym to use the pec deck to isolate and create striations in the inner chest; worst of all.....these are the guys CURLING IN OUR SQUAT RACKS.

What would you all like to say to the broskies? I consider this training related because it will basically serve as a what not to do for, let's be realistic, at least half of our incoming members.

The last one bugs me a bit, but I've just taken to working in between their sets. So far, nobody has said no when I've asked to work in. Not quite sure what I'd say if they did. So far it seems to have solved the problem. Most people in a gym really don't have a clue, unless you train in a hardcore gym.

As long as the turds stay put of my way, I don't care what they do.

Haha, theres this tool in my gym who always curls in front of the squat rack and whenever anyone walks by him he just stares them down like a hawk. He thinks he's a badass or something, the kids a complete tool. The other day he finally decides to do some squats. He goes right into two plates squatting half way down and works his way up to 295 pounds but not squatting at all. He turns to his friend saying I usually squat 3 plates but my knees hurt, lol. I'm next to him doing a set of light good mornings and the dude turns to his friend telling him, that's bad form he's rounding his back. I see what MDR and KelJu are saying, who cares let them be weak but it just pisses me off how this kid thinks he's a beast when he's clearly not.

The best are the grunters and screamers. They're benching what I use for curling weight and scream the loudest. Fucking hate them.

You know whats interesting? Here at UF, the gym is extremely packed. More packed than any other gym ive been to, yet despite the quantity, no one screams. You may find an occasional person doing it, but its just a 'toot' and thats it. No consistent lung testers.

Since it is a school, ill bet it is cuz there this is a judgment FULL zone. No one wants to look like an asshole, or more to the point, SOUND like an asshole.

Only drawback is that these broskies are everywhere, but honestly, you arent gonna get them out. You can have fun with them and tell them "no curls in the squat rack" like I do.

However, as I regulate the 'broskies,' I would certainly be distracted by some asshole screaming away. I believe they are the worst or the worst.

I guess I'd say the only thing I can think of, "Hey jerkoff-face, wrong gym. Planet Fitness is a few blocks down."
