Hang cleans w/ press or separate?

Looking for increasing my numbers in both categories and as of lately I have been doing a combo of hang cleans w/ press on each rep. I do 5x5 increasing weight. Would separating the combination yield better gains?

    5x5 hang cleans
    followed by
5x5 of just presses(pulling them off the rack or just having to hang clean once to bring it up to the pressing position).

Or am I over thinking the whole process once again.

I would alternate them. One week do the press the next increase the weight and just do the cleans.

why are so many doing hang cleans? why not just clean? so much more you can get out of doing the whole movement. technique is hard to master but once you get it you wont wanna do anything else.

I like doing both, but I usually just follow the clean with a press in one motion. I am thinking the energy exerted dropping it to my thighs so I can swing it back up is hindering my press.

Ill start playing with it tomorrow.

I don't view this as too many. My back has blown up since doing the hang cleans. BUILT is boss.
