Try Wilks coefficients.

Back into lifting now for about a year and have learned a ton from this site.
My goal is to be in the best shape I can be. To me that means being as strong and lean as possible.
Was thinking of following my 1 rep max on the bigger moves (bench, military press, dead, squat, row, pull down) as a numerator and use my weight as a demominator.
Thoughts on using this as a measure of fitness???

personally I never understood why so many people are scared of the 1RM it is the ultimate and only 100% accurate measure of your progress in that lift.
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
