    too much?

ok, im a gym addict and not resting enough is my biggest problem.. My routine was a little wacked this week due to getting a week guest pass at another gym and wanting to try and use the gym as much as possible.

Is this overdoing it, especially for arms?

    arms
    legs
    chest
    back
    am. delts pm arms

5 days in a row, 2 a day on day 5...was planning on giving 2 days rest after this...i realllyyyy wana fuck shit up and do arms right now. Think I should just sit this one out? or if im feelin it just go wreck shop?!

Because legs require much more recovery than arms.

HB, with all due respect, they take longer to recover IF YOU TRAIN THEM HARD ENOUGH. I'm not convinced the OP is.

I'm a fan training legs at least twice a week.
Wondering where to start? Confused? "Homework 1" will get you started.

Think you're ready for the "next step"? Take this test.

I see guys in the gym working out everyday for 2 or 3 hours at a time. Mostly upper body, very little lower. Seams odd to me that they never seam to notice they aren't improving and look the same as they did the previous year.

It's not so much how many days a week you work a muscle but with how much intensity you work them.

I'll take it the phrase "with all due respect" means that a high respect is indeed due. lol That's not always the case.

Okay, work them twice. I mean who cares, your body will tell you when it's too much. You gotta be smart and know what you're capable of. Nobody knows your body like you do, right?

I always assume that's right. Maybe it's not right, and if not, you've got personal learning to do. Don't come here and expect others to freaking tell you.

And I always assume that a lifter is training hard enough. If you're not then disregard my advice and please don't bother me again until you fix that.

    So stfuandliftbtch, are you?

am i working out hard enough??? yes lol

every time i step into the gym, i go balls to wall. I mean, whats the point of going to the gym and doing a pussy ass workout..In my opinion, if you aren't lying on the ground after a set of squats, you aren't training hard enough.

Sometimes when i reach my mental barrier on lifts, i tell myself that my mind was put in this body and the pain I may endure is not real pain..I tell myself, I am not feeling pain, my body is. (you may have trouble trying to mentally imagine this without of taking a lot of acid and shrooms back in the day)

After my 7th time doing acid, for 40 days after I thought everything was a video game/movie (yes i was sober, just a fucking lunatic). Everyone was just characters and I was living in some universe controlled by some higher power. So unless you've been able to experience something like that, or possibly have seen yourself in 3rd person while trippin, the visualization might be/ might sound kinda weird.

    >sorry about the long reply. some of you might find that story entertaining haha

stfuandlift, in a nutshell, what's your lifting history? Where you fat and then leaned out? Where you skinny then put on some muscle?

Quantitatively (using approximations), how much LBM have you put on before you started with the gear? after starting with gear?

What about strength gains? Before and after gear.

Thanks Marat - this is the part that matters. It's not how intensely you FEEL you're training. It's how intensely your body is able to train - a lot of people confuse these. Someone who has never squatted may feel like his or her workouts are intense because of the 20-rep leg presses. While draining, this will not compare with 20-rep breathing squats. Training "balls to the wall" is sometimes overrated as a metric for success.

...or squatting with a weight that honestly leaves the bar resting on the supports on the 6th rep.
