I don't do any forearm work myself, I feel they get enough from my back workout.
Wrist curls and reverse wrist curls along with the rope twist thing, the one with the rope a weight at one end and you wind it up on a stick.
i've been training for quite a while now and my biceps and triceps are making some real progress but my forearms do not seem to be growing. Currently i train them as much as my upper arms. I do not know of many varieties of exercises for my forearms this could be the problem.
What would you recommend?

do you wear wrist straps?

I don't wear straps, and forearms hardly grow at all without direct work for me. I do 1-2 sets of extentions and 1-2 sets of wrist curls, per week.

If your already training them and are not seeing growth, I wonder if you are over training them (because back work also works them).
To much is a bad thing to.

My forearms got pretty big by doing preacher curls not sure why though cuz i thought the exercise built biceps
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: A desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.
Preachers and hammer curls both will work forearms as well as bi's.

Anything requiring you to hold onto the weights, is working them out somewhat, deadlifts would be a big one but the cross grip I use doesn't require nearly as much forearm stamina.

i don't think i am overtraining them. i only train them once or twice a week. They shrink very fast but they are fairly solid.
