2 45 MIN. workouts on my split day

Yesterday I split my workout into morning and late afternoon. In the morning I hit my biceps for about 45 mins with generous rest periods. In the late afternoon I hit my back with a similar workout structure.

I got to tell you, I am wicked sore today!! That a good thing right? I noticed better concentration/intensity levels with this routine.

Is there any problems I will encounter with this? Burnout?

Well, a 45 min bi workout seems like major overkill and I would have done the back first then bi's second as you should always do the large muscle group before the small one.
    Cool

    Thanks scotty,

I'm nursing a bad right shoulder so I am concentrating on my legs and arms hence my rountine.

45 min with 4 minutes rest in between equates to around 12 sets including warmups. I'm gonna try it for 2 weeks then back to the regular routine.

when I worked in a gym (many years ago) I used a split routine every work-out.

Example, if it were chest and bi's I would hit chest in the morning (around 30 minutes) and bi's in the eveing (around (20 minutes).

If it's feasible for you to do I think this is the best type of work-out, unfortunately it's not very convienent for most working adults.
