    The power look

This article reminded me that I use to train just my pecs and arms long time ago when I was getting into the game. When I think about it I didn't train legs at all the first year.I thought that they get a lot of "work" from walking.

I am always preaching to my training partner about the four important exercises in my book. Squats, deads, bench, and pullups. She hates squats so I am always pushing and preaching. Hardly anyone does legs in my gym (real legs), but I love them. Nothing like that ready to puke feeling they give you!

In the gym where I was training no one worked out legs.I eventually switched gyms because they removed the power rack.

I hate it when people squat in the curl rack. How am i gonna work out my arms properly?

So stupid, you can't even SEE your legs in a club so why bother working them.

Maybe it is the lowest form of wit, but Gaz elevates it to an art form.

I still see people that squat here and there but I very rarely see anyone deadlift in commercial gyms.

That's the difference in a gym and a fitness center.

Yeah you need a big upper back, but the "power look" also requires a squatter's ass... oh yeah, he forgot squats -duh!

Good, I thought that was just me. Nearly everytime I do legs I feel like I am going to puke, and sometimes do.

I always have a problem doing the clean and press at gyms. I try to take into account everyone and when doing that exercise its tough not to bother anyone. Any suggestions on what to do instead to get the same quality results?

^^^This. There's a fair bit of people at the anytime fitness I use, more because it's January, that use the free-weight area. And, in two and a half years I haven't seen a single person, save my reflection from an adjacent mirror, do a proper deadlift. I loooooves mah deadlifts.

"Look at Evander Holyfield, Ken Shamrock, Dave Batista, Randy Orton - neither of them is a bodybuilder and yet they all look impressive and very athletic"

Can you say neither when referring to four people? Also no mention of legs, people just look like they're going to fall over with big upper bodies and no legs.
