    Dip Belt

...Who uses one and what have you found to be the best material/brand in your opinion? I need a new one as the cheap ass foam core one I have literally split in two dropping 90 lbs on right foot. Followed by a skinny-fat goober asking me if it was necessary for me to make so much noise. Douche was lucky I didn't throw a plate at his face. Ok, better now...

I don't know what brand it is, but the one I've always used is leather. It don't have any padding or anything and it's always worked fine.

This one failed Amazon.com: Altus Athletic Nylon Dip Belt: Sports & Outdoors

I really like this one now Amazon.com: Harbinger 28900 Polypropylene Weight Dip Belt: Sports & Outdoors

It's a bit short in the chain for anything more than 2 plates. It was easy to add more chain though.

If you have a narrow waist I would also suggest a couple of carabiners to draw the chains together to make it more snug around the waist. You would hook them around the chains not through any links. They settle in a natural position that way. That also goes for the leather version of the latter type above. I don't care for the leather type.

Our gym had the thick leather one. Don't remember the brand. Great quality. Just leather and chain. No weak shit. Someone walked out with it and I haven't seen it since. Been looking around locally for one but in SC only about 3 people know what a dip belt is.

I'm not home to look right now, but I bought one from some local store for 50 bucks. Like Merkaba said, it's just leather and chains. It held 100 LBs easy.

No gym for home, work out floor with 30, but is it for 20 like 30 lb when you no lift it to be for men, for 30 lbs instead? or half is 10 for 20 pounds?

Yeah, the Dick's by me has a Schiek 7" leather belt for only $45. I think I'll opt for pigskin this time. That's a good tip with the carabiners. Thanks.

I'm in Iraq, and our equipment is pretty sparse, we don't have an actual one, but I made one out of a leather lifting belt, and then using the rope off a cross cable machine, I loop the rope through plates, keeping both rubber ends together to hold it in place, throw the belt through the rope, good to go.

Sounds like the same one at my last gym. I don't know the name brand though. I don't think it even had one on it.
