Question about leg training
I need help! I've been having hip pain and finally went to the doctor. At the ripe age of 30, I have degenerative arthritis. She said there is not much they can do right now other than monitor it (via xray.)
She told me to keep exercising but I need to scale back some of the movements with leg workouts. The pushing and squating has to go They irritate the joint something fierce. And because walking on the treadmill irritates it as well when I do that I have to take ibuprofen after workouts. Can I get moderate definition with extensions and curls? My cardio will be limited to the recumbent bike mostly, tread mill as tolerated and I think the stair stepper will be okay. Any thoughts or am I screwed ![]() |

Degenerative arthritis runs in my family. All the males seem to get it.
If you want to keep exercising it looks like leg ext and curls will HAVE to do. You should be able to stay lean with that if your diet is clean. |
