My buddy who had tendonitis in his ankles used it. It helped a little, but nothing overly special.

Kineseo taping is a common method of taping in physical therapy. Im a PT assistant. We also use McConnel taping which allows more movement.
We've used it for rotator cuff tears, impingment syndromes, and frozen shoulders.
I would post a link but Im a noob
i don't know if lifting with a torn labrum is even a good idea i tore mine when i was 15 and had surgery. then again i tore everything else in my shoulder with it.

I wasn't particularly impressed - I used it on my bum shoulder and tweaky knees. In fact I had my chiro tape me because I couldn't reach the particular areas on my upper back. It all peeled off w/in a day or two.

It should last a few days depending on the area. On the shoulder ive seen it last 2 or 3 days. Theres a lightly adhesive white tape you put down underneath the the brown tape goes on overtop, only touching the white tape.
Pull the brown tape tight in the direction you want to pull the humeral head. Probably gonna need someone to tape it for you. Depending on the lesion it may be more comfortable in different positions. For a SLAP lesion, the humeral head should go up and back to stabalize the glenohumeral joint.
Typically this fibrous cartilage doesn't heal on its own. You just exaccerbate it and possibly cause some osteoarthritis over time. Do everything you can to get it repaired. Most likely theyll scope it. Just a few weeks with rehab and you should be back in the game bro.
