Thread: coolest places you've worked out

My gym is cool but the best would have to be when I worked out at the Edmonton Eskimos football stadium and many of the football players were in there working out as well.
Some of those guys were HUGE, some were pretty fat but they were still HUGE.

The weight room overlooks the gym area and a bunch of them were throwing a medicine ball around and doing some drills. It was neet to watch.
Ok ok, I'm from a small hick town, big trucks impress me.

nothing wrong with that iam the same way u can take me out of the country but you cant eer take the country out of me.i try to hide my roots but every now and again it will shine through. Its something to be proud of.

You used the word "interesting" not "best or favorite" so that makes for a different answer where I'm concerned. Most interesting for me was a Gym on the beach. I used to always get a shorehouse for the summer at different beaches so one year, I had asked a local where the nearest gym was from where I was staying. To my surprise, He said there was a gym on one section of the beach so I of course bought a beachpass for that area for the entire week including Gym use. I was so HAPPY! WHAT A LIFE. Well my 1st morning I woke up extra early and headed to my VERY OWN MUSCLE BEACH. Well I'm there working out and there were about 4 or 5 other guys there under the canopy talking more then lifting (which i hate) I'm overhearing their conversation and noticing how they all seemed to be talking with a lisp and every movement very flamboyent. I'm thinking to myself ok I have a few fruitcakes here today. As 08:30 approached more and more "men" showed up looking more and more like the Village People then gym or beach goers. I'm now wondering what I got myself into. I then took notice for the very 1st time, the beach area. Not one,,,, not one single women. I freeken picked a gay beach. I quietly finished my workout and sheepishly departed. Driving away I'm thinking of how nieve I really was. Not picking up on the comments and small talk that was made to me. "oh your soo big" etc etc. and my total favorite was an exchange of words with one happy fella:
he says: oh my, how do I get your armssss???
I say: Well straight bar curls, Preacher curls etc.
He says: No silly I mean YOUR arms (wink wink, giggle giggle) This by the way was my wakening call.
Well I ended up joining a gym more inland and worth the 40 minute drive.

I wish I could have seen the expression on your face when you realized what was going on Fire.

That would have been priceless.

the coolest place ive worked out is in my high school's ag shop. its basically a big garage deal on the side of the school. it was old school. all concrete floor. pretty much all we had was a couple benches, rack of dumbbells, squat rack, and one of those really old universal machines. it was bad ass. conrete floor, smelled like rusty iron, i just loved the atmosphere. in the summer time we'd open up garage door and in the winter time we'd freeze or asses off, we had to wear a couple layers of cloths just to workout! i have had some of my best memories in there.
