Depends on what your shoulder injury is? Have you went to get it checked out to see what is wrong with it?

Flat bench press gives me discomfort with my shoulders. Incline/Decline does not. Also narrower grip instead of wide grip on the barbel helps.

The more of an incline you're using the more stress on the shoulders so I would think flat and decline bench press would be best but that could vary from person to person and depending on the injury. As x-factor mentioned above, a closer grip on the bar would probably help.

Cap'n is right on the variance, flats kill my shoulders, as do decliens yet inclines do not, that is due to a rotatorcuff injury. yet close grip or very wide grip presses do not affect it.

Try the Smith Machine to do some of your chest workout. If your gym has Hammer Strength machines try them as well. They are great for building mass after free wieghts.

First and foremost, heal before you train. Get the doctor's approval first. Secondly, talking to a chiropractor might help because they understand the interconnecting systems better than most family doctors do. Lastly, try using a neutral grip or a closer grip. The neutral grip might alleviate some of the problem, granted now you would have the problem of purchasing a Swiss Bar.

Let it heal. Then come back slowly with cable movements and dumbells. I tore my anterior delt several years ago and that's how I came back. I still prefer dumbells to this day, as you can angle them to put more stress on your chest and less on your shoulders.
