    help with terminology

I'm reading cowpimp's guide to setting up a routine and I see
8x3@5-6rm , so i would think it to be 8 sets by 3 reps, is the 5-6 rm used to dictate the weight to be used? as in using the weight that you could do 5-6 reps with? or 85-87 % of your 1rep max? I have to completely chang everything now that I've read that, I'm doing way too much iso stuff, like 3 sets of 10,8,6 for bi's, then tri's etc,but want to unerstand the terminology.thanks in advance

Your right Ovr, you need to use a weight that you is your 5-6 rep max but only perform 3 reps with it for 8 sets.
