    Arrow Rotators Cuff pain...

I'm sure everyone has experienced this at some time. What can be done to relieve it? It didn't start hurting after any routine, and it may have been I slept on it wrong. My left shoulder has hurt for 2 days when I move my left arm in certain positions. The pain isn't constant, just hurts for certain movements. I worked my shoulders Monday and had no trouble with heavy weight. On the bench today it hurt a little more but I worked through it. Will Ben Gay help? Should I continue to workout through it or give it a rest?

Tank is right. Only laying off of it will help to let it heal. Ben gay and most others only have a topical effect that burns the skin. No penetrating ingredients. The only one I know that does get into the muscle is Myoflex. And it does not have much of a smell.

    agreed, rest is the key.

definitely do not do bench press if it hurts you're only making it worse.

you cannot "workout through", if you have truley injured you rotator cuff you need to let it heal.

mine started bothering me about a month ago. i took a week off from training, iced it 4-5 times a day, used advil only sparingly, it only camoflauges the pain, and one of the most important things i did was to keep my rotator cuff active by doing small circles with the injured arm, this is to prevent a condition called "frozen shoulder" which is the main reason your feeling pain. i also used a product called BIOFREEZE before and after my workouts, it doesn't have the bad smell and works almost instantly. another tip i got from gopro was to do external and internal exercises to warm up before any upper body training. hope this helps.

Heck, I've been resting for 2 months now and my RC problem is only slightly better. I admit, I haven't been doing the RC exercises religously but I have been doing them and staying away from push/pull exercises.

    What should I do?

If certain movements bother your rotators, pick something else. I had to avoid bench presses and barbell delt presses for along time, used dumbells almost exclusively for a good long while. Also found out that my bench form was not 100% proper, but freedom between the two 'axis' with dumbells still seems easier on the shoulders.
