Really need a little bit of help/advice

So I started lifting about 3.5 weeks ago, and I am already seeing and feeling results; however, my right arm is growing quite a bit faster than my left arm.

The weird thing is, I am left handed. I can tell that the arm is more developed when I flex, but when not flexed it is just about as close to the left as possible. Also, I can lift more weight and do more reps with it.

This could be a bad idea, but if I do a machine, say lat pull-down, I will sometimes try to do a little bit more work with my left arm than right arm to try and spur on some more growth and blood flow. I also do one to two extra sets with lighter weight on my left arm whenever I do a dumbell exercise.

I try to use free weights, specifically dumbbells for every exercise to ensure equal usage.

I need some feedback from some knowledgeable people rather than my retarded friends on this subject. I know to some it might not be a big deal but it really, really annoys me.

P.S. Not to be weird or anything, but I hear people say this all the time when this subject is brought up, I masturbate with my right hand, and I think that could have something to do with it being more developed. Should I try switching hands or is that just stupid?

Thanks much for any and all responses.

lol the masterbation is it what's doing it... Na just kidding lol. I have this same problem, however I'm right handed and my right hand is bigger and more defined than my left yet my left is stronger? Very weird scenario. But since I was really self conscious about it I started reading about it and really one thing that I kept seeing pop up and up is don't do too much isolation exercises, do a lot more compound lifts, this way it's not just one muscle that gets attention it's your whole body, over time it fixes itself. It's also just genetics, your right arm might just genetically be larger, in that case trying to make your left just as big will cause further imbalances and make it worse in the end. So try for a few weeks doing compound lifts, ie... Bench, Over head press, incline, push press, barbell rows, pendlay rows, chin ups, etc... I hope this helps somewhat!

Oh I forgot, but try to avoid dumbell exercises for a while, because it's a lot harder to keep perfect form with two dumbells and that itself can cause imbalances. The lifts I mentioned up there are all with a barbell, try that for a while and see if anything changes, and try for a while to avoid isolation arm exercises. Your arms will get bigger from any compound lift you throw at it really.

Honestly, after 3.5 weeks? I think you are over thinking about shit. Just calm down, continue to work out.

Since you've only been lifting for a few weeks I wouldn't worry about the imbalance just yet. The imbalance was created not as a result of lifting so there is a good chance that lifting might actually make both arms more symmetrical. In the meantime, try to focus on supplying proportionate force for both sides of your body when doing compound lifts and perfect your form before you try to impress the girls with how much you can lift.
To speak before you think is like wiping your ass before you shit!

You've only been working out a few weeks. Make sure to work out symetrically and give yourself some time to grow in to your self
