Question chest question

Hey guys...

Got a question for ya...I recently lost a lot of weight...80lbs...been working out and starting to look good. I have a problem with my chest, though...i can't get rid of the loose skin below my pecs...from the side, it looks ok, but straight on, it looks gross...flabby....any suggestions?

It takes a while for skin to go back. It depends on how fast you lost it.

Hey Mule,
Thanks for the reply. I lost it over a year ago, but was FAT all my life. I went down form a 42 waist to a 34. Feels great, but i still have yucky flabby skin around my belly and chest. I look great with clothes on, but without......YUCK. Guess I can't have everything. When I started lifting (about 1 1/2 years ago), i could barely bench 95lbs. Maxed out yesterday at 235!!! Feels awesome.

Sounds like your doing great Denny, don't worry about the loose skin, it'll tighten over time and with lifting and cardio.

Great job on the weight loss!!

Denny, first of all congrats, I also had this problem when I lost about sixty pounds, fat my whole life, and the skin does tighten but very slowly, my advice would be life like an animal to fill out the muscle underneath

I am not an expert in dermatology by any stretch...but I think that in a case like yours you may require cosmetic surgery to tighten the loose skin.

You could go to a plastic surgeon, they give free consultations for first time visits.

Denny, congrats on your success. You sound like you have been busting your butt. In regards to your chest flab, without any further information, I would say its just a little more fat that needs to be shed. So the best thing to do would be keep up with what you were doing before that helped you lose the 80lbs and it should help you further reduce your overall body fat. Remember this, you CANNOT spot reduce fat.. it is genetically predetermined where you collect fat and where you lose it first and last. So don't let anyone give you some kind of BS advice to keep on doing more chest excercises then anything else.

don't think so cutemonkey ...if you lose that much weight, generally the loose skin is a result of the stretching, and ultimately a loss of elasticity in the skin.

My advice would be to wait at least a year and see if any of it tightens naturally, but it will probably require cosmetic surgery.
