    Doesn't seem rite

    Quick question if i can shoulder press 110lbs for 8 reps should i be able
    to bench more than 150lbs for 6 reps?

    No.

    For the most part, you only get stronger in the movements you train. There is a degree of carryover, but it is far out-shadowed by movement-specific training.

    Only been back training for 5 weeks after about 3 years off. I know the two movements
    use different muscles. I just thought my bench was lagging a bit

    ^meant 3 years off not weeks

    If your diet's good and your press is going up faster than your bench, then you may want to address that. At the stage your at, it's not uncommon to have your press be that close to your bench.

    Thanx I will give it a few months and see what happens. Think my form is shit
    on bench also

    goto elite fitness "so you think you can bench press, it helped me to hit a new pr of 225 @ 150 bw, keep up the good work and stay active on the boards, you'll get all the help you need!

    The body is a system that grows as the system as a whole grows. If your shoulders are significantly stronger than your chest, then chances are your triceps are accounting for a good amount of that. I would tone doennthe shoulder intensity for a while and just maintain them while working in more chest concentration movements. One arm dumbbell really helped my bench catch up.
