    Literally lost my ass

Hey all, I am 50 Y/O male and was 262 pounds in February. Now I am still 50 but 232 pounds. I have been lifting and eating a clean diet. I have seen the fat melting away all over. But, my butt must have been all fat!
My wife said I used to have a nice butt, but now I look like a bullfrog standing on its hind legs.

I have been lifting and doing ATF squats, dead lifts, lunges side lunges (which I felt the next day in the glutes) reverse leg extensions. medial and latteral cable sweeps, attempting to do GHR's but I do not have the proper equipment on my home gym and doing what I can.

Anyway, Can you all suggest for good Glute exercises?

I forgot to add I ride my recumbent trike about 50 miles a week

My Estradiol levels doc says ore OK but I am still taking .5 mg Anastrozole a week .25 2 X w week.

Like my online Journal said "curently a fat ass" but I didn't think my ass was that fat.

I am lauging at myself a 50 Y/O man talking about his ass on the web.
I keep hearing my wife in the background "do these pants make my ass look big? "

Thought lunges were supposed to be good for developing glutes.

There's not going to be much development without a caloric surplus.

Jagbender, don't worry about it now. After you've dropped the body fat, you can then put your efforts towards building up whatever you want. You're not going to have much success trying to do both things at once.

What he said. You may make some improvement now, but it's better to wait. Or you can just give up on the competition and start a calorie surplus. One less person to beat me, and you get your ass back faster.

I'm surprised the squats arent helping. I lost my ass years ago when I dropped weight and the women really commented on it, but once I got back into lifting again and doing squats it came back, and now with current cycle things look really good. Another benefit of AAS gives you a bit of bubble butt.

I do squats and deadlifts, and I have seen a great improvement on the shape (bubble) and definition of my ass. I don't do anything else for legs... so, I think the key is when I drive my hips forward straightening out on the deadlift, I squeeze my glutes to ensure I have the follow through.

    Just my experience.

I saw a video where this guy puts an electronic device on his ass and the computer is registering how much stress the but is getting. There was one that blew everything and yes that includes the squats... they are the called

hip trusts or glute bridges.. read on it and do some research..
