Weights with crunches?

Does anyone use weights while doing crunches?

Yeah weights really help in adding mass to your abs! I like to hold my crunces at the top while breathing out all of the air in my lungs. Breathing out allows me to contract harder! Also, holding at the top has been known to deepen the ravine down the middle!

Okay, so adding weights won't make a midsection look...bulky or widen?

Me too...always use weights for abs...obliques included! I think of them as any other muscle....need to be rtained hard and in order to do that they need resistance. Just what works for me...

Searching for the right balance...

I've been trying Gironda's methods for abs, I'll start using weights too. Thanks
